As the pandemic worsens in France, the remaining hair & beauty events have been left with no choice but to cancel for the rest of 2020. However, the Lyonnaise trade fair is staging an online edition – “10 days of Beauté Selection” – in order to keep communication within the industry alive and engaged.
The French Government has imposed fairly strict measures to fight the spread of the CoVid19 pandemic which will be in place until December 1st at the earliest. Therefore, the organisers of Beauté Selection Lyon have had no choice but to cancel the edition of the event originally scheduled for November 22nd – 23rd this year.
“The main goal of our events has always been to help people in the hairstyling and beauty industry to share their experiences and success with their colleagues,” comments Christophe Gabreau, president of the event. “At the same time, they can engage with other professionals and discover innovative ideas. Our team has tried hard to offer safe conditions to participants at the event, but the general situation and the health crisis that France is enduring at the moment has obliged us to decide otherwise.”
The organizers have announced, however, a new online event: «Les 10 jours Beauté Sélection» (10 days of Beauté Sélection) that will take place in the first half of December 2020.
In this digital edition, a rich program of Shows and Workshops will be presented: a selection of conferences and educational seminars from the most popular brands in the industry will be available to all online participants.
Unlimited access to content will be free of charge through the Facebook page of Beauté Selection, so visitors can follow all the shows they are interested in at their own convenience. The organizers also wish to remind everyone that the physical edition of the event is already scheduled for November 21st – 22nd 2021 in Lyon. An edition that hopefully will see the successful relaunch of this highly-appreciated event.
