BeautyEurasia Event Director Filiz Mehmedova underlined the important role of the show in the development of the sector and the Turkish economy “BeautyEurasia, which hosts new export opportunities, has received very strong demand and interest also this year, especially from overseas” he added noting the exhibition is in high demand.
Emphasizing that Turkish cosmetics exports increased in all product groups, mainly in cleaning and hygiene products, Mehmedova said: “In the first nine months of 2023 exports of cosmetic products increased by 21.6 per cent compared to the same period last year, reaching $2.1 billion. Cosmetics exports increased in all product groups in the first nine months. Cleaning and hygiene products exports, the highest exports, increased by 15.6 per cent in the first half, reaching $734.8 million, while baby hygiene products exports increased by 22.6 per cent, hitting $598.3 million. Hair care product exports increased by 17.2 per cent, personal care product exports increased by 46.3 per cent, and perfume and deodorant product exports increased by 37.8 per cent. We experienced an increase in demand and exports across product groups in the first nine months of 2023. While Turkey stands out in the cosmetics sector as a prominent manufacturing country, the demand for additional supply remains high. The cosmetics sector achieved an export increase in the first nine months of 2023 compared to Turkey’s exports in general and above the average of many sectors.
With the acceleration of cosmetics exports in the third quarter of this year, we foresee that BeautyEurasia will continue to create new business, partnership and export opportunities for Turkey also this year with its strong regional network.”
