Bleu Libellule to Distribute Alfaparf

The significant growth of the French professional hair product distributor, Bleu Libellule, means it is now partnering with brands such as Alfaparf from Italy.

Despite the pandemic, French brand Bleu Libellule, which specialises in distributing professional hair products, has remained very active in European markets. Last November, in Milan Italy, they opened the first store of a chain that promises to reach 50 points-of-sale by 2026.

Now they are announcing a new partnership with Italian manufacturer, Alfaparf – one of the leading brands in the international professional hair industry. Alfaparf, which boasts products like the Semi di Lino range, is well known for its natural formulations and effective results. It will certainly benefit from distribution by the French chain Bleu Libellule, whose moment of expansion seems sailing with a tailwind.
After 17 store openings in 2021, Blue Libellule continues on an upward trajectory, mainly in France. Their goal for 2022 is to reach 40 new openings; these will be concentrated in the French regions of Cognac, Aix en Provence e Montigny-lès-Cormeilles and in the Lombardy region of Italy.
In 2021, the company reached a staggering €142 Million turnover, which represents a growth of 11.36% compared to the previous year. Altogether, the Bleu Libellule chain totals 220 shops in France Luxembourg and Italy.
CPS, the owner of Bleu Libellule, whose 51% majority shareholder is the Provaillance Group, is also in charge of the French development of Nyx Professional Makeup, an American brand owned by L’Oréal.
