After a difficult 2020, which saw international markets hit hard by lockdowns, data for cosmetics sales for the first half of 2021 are coming in and confirming a strong rebound. Let’s look at a few examples in Italy, where some companies in the professional hair industry are reaching above-average performance.

One interesting case is represented by Landoll, a modern, ever-growing company that owns the Nashi Argan brand, distributed in hair salons and dedicated stores. In the first 5 months of 2021, the company recorded an astonishing 61% increase in turnover compared to the same period in the previous year and, more significantly, an increase of 12% when compared to the same period in 2019. In the first semester of 2021, Landoll also experienced 52% growth in the number of hair salons becoming its new clients around Italy.

Great numbers also for Davines, one of the major cosmetics groups in Italy, also with a strong presence in international markets. An amazing acceleration in sales characterised early 2021: in the first 4 months, the group reached a record €60 Million turnover that represents a growth of 35% compared to the same period in 2020; also a 13% growth when compared to 2019, when the market was not influenced by any lockdowns.
