Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN has celebrated its second edition with enthusiasm and positive results, as the B2B show in Thailand which is helping expand the beauty business in the fast-growing of Southeast Asian market.
After six successful editions of Beyond BeautyASEAN and five editions of ASEANbeauty, the new alliance among BolognaFiere, Informa Markets and China Beauty Expo has enriched the event by bringing new projects and business opportunities in Southeast Asia.
The 3-day event from September 15th – 17th in Bangkok gathered more than a thousand exhibiting brands and companies, of which more than half came from abroad. There were 13,255 visitors, including more than 250 top buyers from Thailand, Southeast Asia and Europe, plus five national collectives from Thailand, China, Italy, Japan and South Korea. These numbers mean Cosmoprof Asean is an important point of reference for the main operators in Southeast Asia, as well as international stakeholders in the beauty sector.
“Cosmoprof Cbe Asean was a very successful event,” underlined Gianpiero Calzolari, President of the BolognaFiere group. “The event recorded an increase in visitors of 78% compared to last year, mainly coming from Thailand and the ASEAN countries. The synergy with Informa Markets and Baiwen Shanghai has proven to be very profitable: in two years the event has established itself as a strategic business destination for stakeholders from all over the world.”

Special events and initiatives enriched the participants’ experience in Bangkok. Beauty Made in Thailand, the commercial initiative created to support Thai SMEs in international markets, attracted international buyers interested in discovering the best proposals from local brands rapidly growing on the market and cutting-edge solutions for the cosmetics supply chain. Medical Beauty provided inspiration and proposals to optimize their business to the professional sector. Macro trends, current issues and market insights were presented during CosmoTalks and CosmoForums as well as live demonstrations, sales presentations and competitions dedicated to beauty and spa professionals.
Cosmoprof CBE ASEAN 2024 will be held from June 13th-15th, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok. The new dates have been chosen because they better reflect seasonal trends and habits that influence business in the region.
