An important and greatly anticipated appointment for the hairdressing and the global beauty industry was e-MCB, the French initiative which took place from 13th – 17th September, 2020, which has received very favourable acclaim from all professionals involved.

With the physical event being postponed until 2021, the MCB organisers decided to hold a digital version, created to facilitate networking, search for products and services and allow participants to discover new concepts by attending online conferences and training over 5 days.

More than 2,700 people took part and nearly 900 meetings were held online (by videoconference and live from the platform). Subsequently, registered participants were able to manage their agenda and make 1-2-1 appointments with exhibitors and brands who took part from their offices.

Christophe Gabreau, President of Standing Events, said: “Digital is a new opportunity that allows us to better understand the expectations of visitors. We have already tested this arrangement with our BS Congress event and today we are doing it with the E platform -MCB. We will keep take advantage of this experience for our next shows in order to analyse and anticipate the precise expectations of the market. “

The e-MCB by Beauté Sélection proved that this model can be creative, inspiring and useful to business. All the speakers in the 24 workshop modules (hairdressing, make-up, nail salon) and conferences were welcomed in complete safety and in strict compliance with health and safety requirements.

Artistic shows were held live on two large specially equipped stages, from Marseille and Le Mans with Stéphane Amaru, Ludovic Geheniaux, Raphaël Perrier, Beata Bourillon, Morgane Hilgers, Pierre Saint-Sever, Pascal Lombardo , Eric Maurice, Hairdressers in France, Guy Haircut, David Howard (French Hair Tattoo Champion 2017).

Many different topics were covered in the conferences: “The Development of Activity in the Digital Age” (Treatwell), “The Rise of Clean Beauty in Asia” (by Chloé Cortinovis) live from Singapore, “Morphorelooking , Self-Image ”by Marc Dugast,“ The Advantages of a Quality Label ”by Pierre Barré,“ New Behaviours, New Opportunities ”by Christelle Nouviaire and Jean-Christophe Roberto, to name but a few.

“This 2020 edition make it possible to maintain the connections and generate business thanks to a qualified professional visitors base made mainly of buyers, decision-makers and project leaders. The professionals registered on the platform were expecting from the speakers (70 exhibitors present) a real exchange of opinion on the notions of Service and Quality,” concludes Christophe Gabreau.

The next Physical edition of MCB by Beauté Selection is scheduled for 11th to 13th September 2021, in Paris, Porte de Versailles !
