The 2020 edition of InterCHARM Korea, from December 17th -19th at Coex, Seoul, experimented with a new hybrid way to hold a beauty fair – a decision which resulted in more than 3,000 buyers from 20 countries joining the event remotely.

The 2020 edition was effectively held as a hybrid show, employing advanced programs that enabled the participants to take advantage of the connections offered. In particular, online meetings were arranged in collaboration with the Korea International Trade Association(KITA) that is committed to supporting Korean SMEs to maximize export despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic crisis. About 24 buyers from 18 countries participated in the meetings. On the Exhibitors’ side, 15 Russian beauty brands remotely participated in the show. Online meetings were successfully organized to match with Korean local buyers. Moscow Export Centre supported the Russian companies to maximize their business in the Korean market. About 20 local beauty industry distributors/importers/retailers attended the meetings.

Live online broadcasting was also provided for the exhibitors. A well-known Korean local influencer attended the show and broadcast live to support exhibitors to maximize the exposure of their brands and products reaching customers who attended the show remotely. The events were completed by Seminar on hot topics: the global beauty market trends, entering the global market, global Live-Streaming E-commerce trend, and tips for practical use of big data in the beauty industry, etc.
