After holding out as long as possible in the hope that the situation surrounding the threat from the pandemic would improve this Autumn, trade fairs in the Far East are now finally taking the decision to postpone.
Even the most optimistic Beauty Fairs organisers are surrendering to the uncertainty that the Covid pandemic has inflicted on the entire world. Most observers believed that Autumn shows would be possible in the Far East as infection level continued to decrease over the Summer, but international level is still in dire straits and show attendance in person is proving well-nigh impossible for many brand representatives.
The latest victim of this unpredictable state of affairs is InterCHARM Korea, which was supposed to be held on September 23-25, 2020. Organizers have now decided to postpone it until December 17th -19th 2020. They have been obliged to comply to Korean government guidelines regarding large scale gatherings and social distancing.
The official press release of the InterCHARM Korea Team says: “We are in unprecedented times and continue to witness first-hand the challenging impact of COVID-19, both professionally and personally.
Prior to the recent escalation of COVID-19, we were optimistic that InterCHARM Korea would run safely and successfully in September.
However, after extensive internal and external consultation and under the guidance of the government and relevant authorities, we have taken this decision, with our principle focus on ensuring that the rescheduled dates are ideally positioned to support our industry. We apologize for the inconvenience that this postponement may cause. “
Once again, we understand it was not an easy decision to take for Reed K.Fairs Ltd. and SeoulMESSE International Ltd. However, they had no choice but to follow all advice and guidelines available, keeping in mind that the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors and partners should always be their main priority.
We sincerely hope this show, as well as the few others rescheduled through the coming Winter and Spring will have a chance to open their doors and welcome in a large crowd, keen to explore new business opportunities.
