Following the economic trend of aggregation of brands, the new HD Holding, made by the two Italian Companies specialized in high added value productions, constitutes one of the most important European realities for professional haircare in terms of volumes and know-how.
Lisap, an historic Italian company based in Milan and specialising in professional hair products, has recently concluded the acquisition of Parisienne Italia, a pioneer of aerosol production which sells hair and body care products to the professional channel, as well as to the mass markets.
Controlling 75% of Parisienne, Lisap wants to create an industrial centre specialising in high value-added products. The aim is to become the leading player in Europe in terms of volumes and know-how in the production of aerosols for the professional channel, as well as one of the main players in the production of hair dyes.
The merging of these two historic Italian companies – Lisa founded in 1952 and Parisienne in 1955 – aims to increase the penetration of the proprietary brands – among which Lisap, Diapason, Allwaves, Black , NiaMh and Rebeel – in Italy and abroad, where the two companies are already present in over 100 markets. The development synergy between the two distribution networks will be paramount for further development, especially through the support of the branches that Lisap has in Germany, Spain, Malaysia, Australia and the United States.
These are intended to be the first steps towards creating a holding which aims to reach turnover of €65 Million by the end of 2022. The two brands will enforce complementary leaderships maintaining and strengthening the value of a 100% Made in Italy production process.
Professional haircare is one of the most prosperous segments of the Italian cosmetics sector which, according to the recent economic survey by Cosmetica Italia, expects a 14.8% increase compared to 2020, while the overall turnover projection of the supply chain at the end of 2021 with a growth, referring to last year, of 10.4%.
“Our DNA and our history are those of manufacturers,” comments Luca Papetti, CEO of Lisap and HQ Holding. “The two production centres of Rescaldina (MI) and Altedo (BO) will also be the foundations on which to implement in the future our verticalization strategy, which aims to reach 35,000 direct customers around the world and to improve our distribution in more than the 100 countries in which the two brands are currently present. We will do so maximizing the skills and abilities achieved by the two partners in almost a total of one hundred and forty years of experience in the sector, keeping innovation, performance and sustainability central to the joint development strategy. This step is part of the strategic growth perspective of the group and has the turnover target, by 2024, of exceeding €100 Million.”
“Parisienne has enthusiastically embraced the HQ Holding project,” declares Eleonora Favalini, CEO of Parisienne Italy. “It allows us to kick off a new business chapter in continuity with the work carried out by my father Luigi. For this, I thank Alessandro, Fabrizio and Stefano Locatelli, the current owners of Lisap who took over from their father Renato in 2019 “.
This acquisition, which coincides with the generational handover of both companies, is the response to the changed national and international scenario. A pool of advisors made up of Banca Akros, DWF, New Deal Advisors, Titi & Associati and Studio Zoboli accompany the two companies on this path.
