New Leadership at Cosmetica Italia

Benedetto Lavino has been re-elected as President of Cosmetica Italia until 2027, while Silvia De Dominicis is the new General Director.

Benedetto Lavino will lead Cosmetica Italia, the Italian national association of cosmetics companies, as president for the next three years. The new president will be supported by four vice-presidents: Filippo De Caterina (L’Oréal Italia), Fabio Franchina (Framesi), Ambra Martone (ICR – Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite) and Renato Sciarrillo (Procter & Gamble).

For the next three years, together with the team of vice presidents, we will look at a macro-objective,” underlines Lavino. “We willbuild favourable conditions so that associated companies can seize growth opportunities in Italy and abroad, supporting them in preserving and increasing the generation of profit even in a complex economic situation, and bringing value to the entire supply chain. A goal that can only be achieved by working together and linking stakeholders, industry, institutions, and the political world with the common aim of affirming the economic, scientific, and social value of the cosmetic product.

We will work, in fact, to identify a solid and concrete industrial policy in favour of the national cosmetics sector. We will do this with the support of advocacy projects, market analyses, and social responsibility activities to support the development and reputation of a key sector for the growth and competitiveness of the country, capable of generating positive impacts in socio-economic and employment terms. As always, alongside our partner BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, we will deal with internationalization to enhance the excellence of Italian cosmetics in foreign markets. Cosmetica Italia will also continue to speak to a wider audience thanks to the new edition of Milan Beauty Week, a cultural project that offers us the opportunity to show the different sides of the beauty supply chain.”
