41st MCB by BS Celebrates Rejuvenated Success

 

MCB by Beauté Sélection once again confirmed its status as a must-attend event for the global hair & beauty industry. With 49,917 professional participants from all over the world, this edition, held from October 12th–14th, 2024, recorded a significant increase in attendees of 8% compared to 2023, returning to pre-pandemic levels.

 

For 3 days, the event became a hub of creative energy, with new products, business opportunities, and innovations on display. The vibrant atmosphere animated the aisles and stages, offering professionals a chance to explore a rich and diverse range of offerings.
With nearly 390 brands presented by 240 exhibitors, the show provided a comprehensive overview of sector trends and innovations, with 50% of exhibitors showcasing international brands.

MCB by Beauté Sélection was designed to attract a highly qualified professional audience, mainly made up of buyers, decision-makers, and project leaders, as well as students and apprentices.
The visitor profile reflects the reality of the sector, with 49% business owners/self-employed, 33% employees, 17% apprentices/ students, and 1% trainers/teachers.

Eager to discover new challenges and industry developments, international visitors were well represented. Their presence reached 9.3%, equal to 4,700 participants from 77 countries, including around 40 specially invited European distributors.

SLOW FASHION HAIR
The inauguration of the new MCB by BS Arena marked a turning point with the first edition of the Slow Fashion Hair program.
This exclusive event featured nearly two hours of artistic performances and inspiring talks, highlighting three key values:
Excellence: mastery of skills
Beauty: the art of transformation
Value: showcasing craftsmanship

A rich and varied programme of the artistic shows, conferences, and expert demonstrations enthralled the audience, confirming the excellence of MCB by BS

At MCB by BS Arena renowned international artists headlined breathtaking shows, with some making their first appearance.
The 360 Stage was a hub of expertise, featuring demonstrations by top industry professionals. Alongside this, a series of inspiring conferences covered topics from salon performance to the use of AI and social media, and financing ongoing training.
Renowned experts shared their knowledge, offering participants fresh perspectives and valuable advice for advancing in the hair and beauty industry.

Finally, the most anticipated Awards ceremony that represents the flagship of the French event: the Innovation Grand Prize. Eleven trophies were awarded to companies that stood out for their innovative products, services, or solutions. The winners by category are:

World Hairdressing Championship OMC HAIRWORLD
The prestigious OMC World Hairdressing Championship brought together over 1,300 participants from across the globe.
For two days, these talents competed in various challenges, showcasing the excellence of international hairdressing. France stood out, winning several titles, particularly in the Ladies Prestige Cup, with a gold medal for Elise Roger, Léa Magaddino, and Morgan Queignec. Among the individual awards, Valentin Ricois excelled in Creative Style, Léa Bonetto Marmugi in Hair by Night, while Elise Roger shone in Prestige Bridal and Prestige Gala. On the junior side, Jacques Tessaro won gold in Open Wave Style.
