As 2024 comes to an end, India’s beauty market stands out as a compelling story of growth, innovation, and untapped potential. The 2024 edition of Cosmoprof India, held from December 5 to 7 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, marked a significant milestone for India’s beauty industry, showcasing impressive growth and global participation. The event highlighted not just business expansion but also the creative synergy and entrepreneurial spirit shaping the country’s vibrant beauty sector.
A Milestone Event in Mumbai
With 11,124 industry stakeholders attending—a 27% increase from 2023—the event affirmed India’s position as a vital hub for the global beauty business. Attendees came from diverse markets, including the UAE, USA, Italy, Nepal, Sri Lanka, South Korea, and Russia.
The exhibition featured 345 exhibitors showcasing over 700 brands—a remarkable 55% increase from last year. This growth highlights India’s expanding beauty market, where rising consumer demand, digital transformation, and evolving beauty standards attract global players. Notably, 76% of these exhibitors participated for the first time, emphasising the market’s potential and increasing international interest in establishing a presence in India.
Global Reach and Expanding Horizons
Cosmoprof India maintained its tradition of promoting global partnerships. Global exhibitors made up 57% of participants, with strong representation from Europe (34%), the Americas (9.5%), and Asia-Pacific (26.5%). Country pavilions from Australia, Brazil, Germany, and South Korea underscored the fair’s international appeal. The exhibition space itself expanded by 68%, reaching 20,252 square meters.

Over 350 professionals attended 16 CosmoTalks and CosmoForum sessions featuring thought leaders from agencies like Asia Cosme Labs, BEAUTYSTREAMS, Centdegres, and WGSN. Major industry players such as Bombay Shaving Company, Looks Salon, and Reliance Retail also shared valuable insights.
The professional channel received special attention with the launch of ‘ONE SHOT BY ON HAIR,’ where over 250 people witnessed live demos and hairstyling showcases. The World Massage Meeting also captivated attendees with its focus on holistic wellness.
