Velecta Paramount® Paris is welcomed Nicolas Chausson to its helm. He succeeds Michel Guillosson, who headed up the company from 1989 to the present.
As President of Velecta Paramount® Paris, Nicolas Chausson revealed his objectives for the company: “To reinforce the professional image of the brand, conquer new consumers, accelerate our growth both in France and internationally; these are my ambitions for this new challenge that I am proud to take up. Michel Guillosson will retain a small stake in the company and will continue to follow his development with interest.”
A graduate of the prestigious Science Po Paris University, Nicolas Chausson joined the L’Oréal group in 1996 and worked there for 10 years in marketing, sales and marketing, first in France, then internationally, and then as General Manager. He resigned in 2006 to create Ghd France and develop the brand. He remained Managing Director of the brand for more than 12 years, employing 53 people on French soil. When he finally left, the company had achieved a turnover of 18 million euro during the 2016-2017 financial year.

Since 1936, the French brand has been designing, manufacturing, and assembling by-hand high-tech devices for hairdressing professionals and individuals at its production site in Romorantin, in Sologne. Established in the heart of the Central Val de Loire region since 1964, the company today employs 27 people and in 2018 achieved a turnover of 4.6 million euro, equitably divided between import and export. Patented technologies, award-winning ergonomic designs are all innovations that have helped build a reputation of solid know-how that the new CEO intends to continue to develop.
