Wella Company is executing a significant leadership overhaul across Europe, reinforcing its commitment to the professional beauty market with key executive changes in both Italy and France.
Italy: Antonella Chiariello Named Country Manager & Managing Director
Starting July 1, 2025, Antonella Chiariello takes the helm of Wella Italia as Country Manager and CEO. Previously serving as CFO for Italy & Greece and Strategic Development Director for Italy, Chiariello brings deep industry knowledge and extensive experience with multinational companies including L’Oréal, Coty, and Nestlé.
Holding a master’s degree in Economics from Bocconi University, she has played a vital role in Wella’s carve‑out from Coty and the subsequent transition under KKR. In her new role, she will oversee a multi‑brand portfolio—including Wella Professionals, System Professional, OPI, Nioxin, and Sebastian Professional—serving over 10,000 salon partners across Italy and omnichannel platforms.
“It’s an honour to lead a company that stands for innovation and value for industry professionals. Together, we will strengthen Wella Italy’s leadership and accelerate growth in the professional beauty sector.”
Guglielmo Marini Returns to Wella to Lead the Professional Channel
At the same time, Guglielmo Marini has been appointed Professional Channel Director Italy, reporting directly to Antonella Chiariello. After an initial tenure at Wella from 2013 to 2018, Marini continued his career at L’Oréal, taking on roles of increasing responsibility, including Sales Director for Northern Italy within the Luxury Division.
In his new role, he will oversee commercial operations for the professional channel, with a focus on strengthening the sales network and enhancing local market engagement.
“My top priority will be getting back in the field, meeting with our salon partners, and building the future of professional beauty together.”
Why It Matters for Salons and Distributors
For distributors, manufacturers, and salon leaders, these leadership shifts are a clear signal of Wella Company’s commitment to regional markets through local expertise and strategic depth. The new appointments reflect a renewed investment in market responsiveness, education, and innovation tailored to country-specific dynamics.
As the professional beauty industry continues to evolve, Wella Company’s refreshed leadership structure is poised to support more targeted growth, stronger salon partnerships, and product innovation across Europe.
