Originally scheduled for 28 – 30 March the major cosmetics industry exhibition in Barcelona has been rescheduled to 16 – 18 May 2020.
This has proven to be a tough decision for the Organisers, although it now appears that practically all the world’s trade fairs appear to be on hold for the time being. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that, by the end of this month, the situation in Barcelona or anywhere else will have improved sufficiently to allow large gatherings such as this to take place.
Therefore, taking into account the latest information regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19) in Spain and considering its continuing spread across other European countries, the organisers have made the decision to postpone the celebration of Cosmobeauty Barcelona to May 16-18, 2020. They have also taken into account a change in the WHO’s risk assessment, as well as the recommendations of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and of the of the Spanish Ministry of Health,
The organisers want to stress that this decision came from a deep sense of responsibility and the effects of extenuating circumstances beyond their control, but deemed necessary to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19) and to be able to guarantee the health and safety conditions of exhibitors, visitors and workers involved in the event.
Addressing the public the organisers said: “We appreciate your understanding and reiterate our commitment so that the celebration of Cosmobeauty Barcelona 2020, in its new dates, will respond to the expectations of all its exhibitors and visitors.”
